Paris – Santiago: The OICA Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs Automobiles is pleased to announce that ANAC (Asociación Nacional Automotriz de Chile) has officially joined OICA as a full member, further expanding the global reach and diversity of the association’s network.
This decision reflects the shared commitment of both organizations to promote a competitive, innovative, and sustainable automotive industry—regionally and worldwide. By joining OICA, ANAC will participate in the organization’s technical, economic, and policy-driven work, ensuring that the perspectives of Chile and the wider Latin American region are fully represented.
Diego Mendoza Benavente, Secretary General of ANAC, said “we are glad to be part of OICA since our country has one of the most competitive markets for cars, buses and trucks, over 28 different origins available for sale in Chile, more than 86 different carmakers competing day to day, something we are very proud of, and we are looking forward sharing our experience to other OICA members”. François Roudier, Secretary general of OICA “welcomes Chile to our international community and looks forward to advancing shared priorities to support the future of mobility with ANAC”.
